Welcome to what I like to call my “PASSION PROJECT”. I have gone back and forth on this for a while and honestly, I am not even sure if I will be any good at this but I am just going to give it my best shot and see what happens. At the end of the day I will never know if I don't try right? Right!

What exactly is Life of a Planner? Well ladies & gents, it is my blog!
This is my first blog post so please bare with me. I will get better as we go, I promise … or at least I'll try to!
For those of you who don't know me, I am an event planning professional. I currently manage a convention centre in the Fraser Valley. I also have my own event and wedding planning company called Elegance Event Planning, which I operate with the help of many amazing people.
The Life of a Planner blog is really about the life of this planner! It will be an accumulation of all of the different things that I, as a planner, experience on a regular basis. I don't want to put this into any one box and I am sure as this evolves it will grow, but for now my vision board for this blog includes the following:
- Lifestyle blog posts by myself and other featured bloggers
- Opinion pieces on the things that I experience (we all know I have a lot of opinions)
- Features of tips and trends in the event and wedding industry
- Interviews with industry professionals
- Interviews with inspiring individuals
- Easy & healthy recipes that I think you may like
Of course this is all just a working theory at the moment but these are the things I envision for this blog and I am inviting YOU to come along on this journey with me. There definitely will be opinions that I have that not everyone will agree with and I am ok with that. I am happy to have respectful discussions on certain subjects because I think that is healthy. I am not the type of person to bash others and at the end of the day, I am a professional in this industry so there will be no disrespecting of others or calling people out.
Basically I am hoping that my opinions and information will help to inspire and educate others or at the very least be an interesting read. So there it is ... I am putting it all out there... let the journey begin!
