Liquid Sunshine Smoothie Bowl
This tasty smoothie bowl was partially inspired by Nutty 4 Nutrition's "Orange Sunshine Smoothie" (www.nutty4nutrition.com) - I just tweaked some of the ingredients and added some of my own to make the recipe work for a smoothie bowl!
Smoothie base ingredients:
1/2 a large navel orange
1 banana (fresh)
Handful of carrot sticks
1/2 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop vegan protein powder (I used Arbonne's vanilla protein mix, as always!)
Toppings:
Kiwi slices
Raspberries
Chia seeds
Unsweetened shredded coconut
Homemade gluten free granola (see Health & Wellness page for link on how to make this)
Directions:
Blend all of smoothie base ingredients together in a blender - you might have to give the mixture a couple of stirs in between blending. You can also add more almond milk or some water if you find the consistency is too thick.
Top with whatever you'd like! I usually try to have an array of toppings, with varying textures and colours, to ensure I'm getting as many nutrients as I can!
